

went to the store to get the 50G one around 5PM. Quickly searched here, found there is a favorite water heater for people here.

Then the situation would be from water heater leaking to totally no hot water in the house. If professionals can easily break those plastic valves big chance we will do that too. The installation guys told me they just broke one days before. It needs lots of strength to remove a 10 years old valve! When you try hard, the plastic valve just broke. Then I realized manufactures don't like us to replace stuff by ourselves.

I went to HD to buy a valve for 2.77 only! shut down the gas, the cold water, drain the tank.Then tried to replace the valve. Thought it was an easy and cheap fix myself. I googled and youtubed and figured out the drain valve was leaking. I found my 10-year water heater was leaking badly. Just want to share some experience in case some people search here for help for water heater in the future.
